STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) at Landsdale Christian School gives students in Years 8 - 10 the opportunity to bring learning to life through hands-on, real-world challenges. Our program develops creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation - skills essential for the future.
 

Students take on a range of exciting design challenges. From building bridges with limited materials and testing their strength, to designing and launching trebuchets that explore energy transfer and motion, each project encourages experimentation and improvement. Students also create and race CO₂ dragster cars, combining engineering skills with teamwork and friendly competition.
 

Beyond the classroom, students engage with the wider STEM community. At the Resources Technology Showcase at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, they explore emerging technologies such as virtual reality and robotics while competing alongside other schools.

Through these experiences, our students aren’t just learning STEM - they are thinking, designing, and creating. Each challenge builds confidence, curiosity, and collaboration, preparing students to become innovative problem-solvers and future leaders.
