History
Since opening our doors in 1987, Landsdale Christian School has grown from humble beginnings into a vibrant and flourishing learning community.
What began as a small primary school, established through faith, determination and a shared vision for Christian education in Perth's northern suburbs, has developed into a dynamic K-12 campus. Over the years, our school has been shaped by a commitment to Christ-centred learning, strong community connections and a passion for nurturing every student's God-given potential.

Timeline
1986
Planning commenced for a new Adventist Christian school north of the river. With the support of Victoria Park Seventh-day Adventist School, preparations began to establish a new educational community in Perth's northern suburbs.
1987
Northern Suburbs Seventh-day Adventist School was established as a "school within a school" at Victoria Park Seventh-day Adventist School. Principal Robert (Bob) Flynn led the new school, which opened with two teachers and 48 students. Land was purchased on Queensway Road in Landsdale, then a largely undeveloped area accessed by a single road surrounded by bushland.
Students and staff spent one day on the new Queensway Road site before the end of the school year, enabling the school to qualify for government funding while construction of the permanent facilities neared completion.
1988
The original A Block campus opened for the first full academic year, welcoming approximately 44 students. Facilities included classrooms, a library, staffroom, canteen, administration offices and student amenities.
Families gathered for a special tree-planting service, creating what would become the school's tree-lined entrance and establishing a lasting symbol of growth and community.
1988-1991
The school operated as a two-teacher campus, serving students from across Perth's northern suburbs. School buses transported families from areas including Morley, Duncraig, Hillarys and Ellenbrook, long before Landsdale was a developed residential suburb.
The school then expanded to three teachers and purchased its first sea container for storage as enrolments continued to grow.
1991 - 1994
Staff and volunteers helped shape the campus through landscaping and development projects, including the construction of the limestone retaining wall near the main pedestrian entrance.
1995
The school was renamed Landsdale Gardens Christian School, reflecting its growing identity and connection with the local community.
1997
The first demountable classroom was added to the campus, providing additional learning space and housing the school's library and music program.
The area now occupied by the current Kindergarten playground began its life as a permaculture learning space, complete with gardens and farm animals.
2008
The school was renamed Landsdale Gardens Adventist School.
2008-2009
H Block was constructed through the Federal Government's Building the Education Revolution (BER) program, providing a community hall, library and computer laboratory.
2013
Secondary education commenced with the school's first Year 7 and 8 students under the leadership of Principal Rhonda Belson. Classes were initially held in the H Block Hall, marking the beginning of the school's High School journey.
2013-2014
B Block was opened, providing specialist learning spaces including a science laboratory, food technology room, manual arts workshop and additional classrooms to support the growing Secondary School.
2016
The school adopted its current name, Landsdale Christian School, reflecting a new chapter in its growth and development.
2017
Landsdale Christian School celebrated its first Year 12 graduating class, completing the school's vision of offering a full Kindergarten to Year 12 education pathway.
2021
The opening of C Block marked a significant expansion of the campus, delivering a purpose-built multi-purpose centre with a school hall, adaptable learning spaces and dedicated wellbeing and support services for students.
2023
The original H Block Hall, which hosted the school's first High School classes, was repurposed as a dedicated Wood & Textiles Technologies facility.
2024
The Early Childhood playground underwent a major redevelopment, creating an engaging and contemporary learning environment for the school's youngest students.
2025
D Block was completed, providing additional secondary teaching spaces, including a Science Laboratory, Secondary Staff Room and four new classrooms to support future growth and learning opportunities.
